1. Purpose of the Training:
This training aims to convey the detailed principles of preparing technical documentation in accordance with the ASD S1000D standard through real project experience and practical examples from daily life.
S1000D is an internationally recognized technical documentation standard. Its primary objective is to create standardized, modular, and reusable technical documents for complex systems or systems with multiple configurations (such as those in defense, aerospace, maritime, automotive industries, etc.).
The core concept of S1000D is to develop technical documentation using small units called Data Modules, allowing the reuse of the same content across different sections or manuals. This improves the accuracy of documents, ensures standardization, and provides cost and time efficiency. Furthermore, since documents are written using specific codes, digital documentation becomes more accessible, and the production of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), which allow interaction with the user, becomes easier.

The training begins with a brief introduction to the fundamentals of S1000D, followed by detailed discussions on topics such as Data Modules (DM), the structure and relationships of the Common Source DataBase (CSDB), XML structure, Business Rules (BR), schemas (Descriptive, Procedural, Crew, Illustrated Parts Data - IPD), Data Module Codes (DMC), Publication Module Codes (PMC), the Standard Numbering System (SNS), and software support. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the activities required to develop technical documentation in compliance with the S1000D standard and contractual requirements.
The training materials have been specially prepared by the instructor, referencing their own expertise and standards related to ILS from various countries and organizations (ASD, DEF-STAN, JSP, MIL-STD, NATO, SAE), along with widely accepted reference books.

Certification: A certificate of participation will be issued to trainees who attend at least 70% of the course.
