1. Purpose of the Training:

This training aims to convey the analysis of field data—considered to be of golden value during the usage phase—through real-world project experience and practical, everyday examples.

The course focuses on accurately documenting and analyzing failures of a system/product during the longest phases of the life cycle: Use and Support. It also aims to thoroughly explain the improvement activities (on either the system/product design or the support system) based on the results of these analyses. The training assumes that participants are already familiar with basic RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) concepts.

With Field Data Analysis:

  • Failure data from real operating conditions is properly documented
  • Analysis of this data reveals areas for improvement, helping to increase availability and reduce warranty or life cycle costs
  • The results of the analysis can be used in future designs to enhance system/product quality
  • The calculations validate/update RAMT (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Testability) analyses performed during the development phase (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, availability, etc.). These results also serve as inputs for future system/product requirements
  • Participants will gain in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience to perform Field Data Analysis in compliance with applicable standards and contractual requirements

The training materials have been specially prepared by the instructor for this course, drawing from their own expertise, relevant standards from various countries and organizations (ASD, DEF-STAN, JSP, MIL-STD, NATO, SAE), and widely accepted reference books.

Certification: A certificate of participation will be awarded to trainees who attend at least 70% of the course.
