1. Purpose of the Training:
The Sustaining Engineering element, presented as a main topic in the ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) Fundamentals training, aims to convey the details of this ILS element through real project experiences and practical examples from daily life.
The training is designed to explain in detail how Sustaining Engineering provides the necessary support to ensure that the system/product can be used in accordance with its intended performance under real operational conditions during the operational phase. Thanks to Sustaining Engineering;
- Operational suitability is assessed before system/product deployment, and everything is verified to be ready for use (through documentation or testing)
- Feedback received during the operational and maintenance phases is evaluated, and change proposals are made to improve sustainment metrics
- Planning of design or support system changes is carried out
- Engineering technical analyses are performed to respond to technical questions/requests raised by the user organization
- Service bulletins are issued
- Field support personnel are assigned
- Disposal and retirement activities are managed
With this training, you will have the opportunity to learn in detail the knowledge required to carry out Sustaining Engineering activities in compliance with standards and contract requirements, as well as apply it in practice.
The materials used in the training have been specially prepared by the instructor for this course, referencing their own expertise, various national and international standards (ASD, DEF-STAN, JSP, MIL-STD, NATO, SAE), and widely accepted publications.
