1. Purpose of the Training:
This training aims to convey the detailed elements of the Design Interface (a key ELD element), which is introduced as a main topic in the ELD Fundamentals course, through real project experiences and practical everyday examples.
The training focuses on how ELD analyses support and provide inputs to design in order to ensure the system/product is used cost-effectively and performs optimally throughout its life cycle. Early involvement in design is critical since it significantly impacts life cycle costs. Through the Design Interface, the following are achieved;
- Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) is conducted
- Supportability analyses (RAMST, FMECA, FTA, LORA, MTA, etc.) are performed
- Inputs from all ELD elements are provided to and managed within design decisions
- A Dataset is developed based on the results of supportability analyses
With this training, you will gain detailed knowledge and practical experience to develop a Design Interface in compliance with standards and contractual requirements. (Note: The listed analyses are covered in other trainings; participants are expected to have an average level of knowledge on these topics.)
Training materials are specially prepared by the instructor based on their expertise, referencing relevant standards from various countries and organizations (ASD, DEF-STAN, JSP, MIL-STD, NATO, SAE) and widely accepted literature.
2. Training Duration and Format:
