1. Purpose of the Training:
This training aims to convey the fundamental principles of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) / Product / Lifecycle Support to individuals who are not ILS personnel but work closely with ILS teams. The course draws on real project experiences and practical, everyday examples to address the specific needs of these professionals.
ILS focuses on designing a Support System compatible with the system/product, providing design input at early stages to ensure supportability, and ensuring cost-effective and performance-aligned use throughout the lifecycle.
Through ILS analyses;
- A Support System aligned with required ILS objectives is designed
- Design input is provided to optimize Life Cycle Cost (LCC)
- ILS Plans and sub-plans are prepared to effectively manage the lifecycle
- ILS metrics are calculated and verified
- Operational availability is increased
- Life Cycle Cost is optimized
- Warranty and logistics support costs become measurable
The training covers ILS definitions and standards, lifecycle phases and corresponding ILS activities, ILS elements, planning, and analysis, all tailored to the level and perspective needed by non-ILS personnel collaborating with ILS teams. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the fundamental principles of ILS activities compliant with standards and contract requirements, as well as the goals of their ILS colleagues.
All training materials are specially prepared by the instructor, based on personal expertise and referencing internationally recognized ILS standards (ASD, DEF-STAN, JSP, MIL-STD, NATO, SAE) and widely accepted publications.
