1. Purpose of the Training:

This training aims to convey the fundamental principles of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety, and Testability (RAMST) through real-world project experiences and practical examples.

RAMST analyses are conducted to influence design decisions at early stages, enabling the development of supportable systems/products that can be used cost-effectively and in line with performance goals throughout their life cycle. With RAMST analyses:

  • Systems can be designed to meet Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) targets
  • Reliability and maintainability metrics can be calculated and validated
  • Availability can be improved
  • Spare parts stock levels can be accurately determined
  • Warranty and logistics support costs can be calculated
  • Life Cycle Cost can be optimized

The training covers RAMST definitions, calculations, and standards; Reliability System Modeling; Reliability Allocation and Prediction; FMECA; Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD); Fault Tree Analysis (FTA); Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM); and Testability. This course provides an opportunity to learn and apply the core principles of RAMST analyses in compliance with standards and contractual requirements.

All training materials are specially prepared by the instructor for this course, referencing personal expertise, international ILS-related standards (ASD, DEF-STAN, JSP, MIL-STD, NATO, SAE), and widely recognized reference books.
