1. Purpose of the Training

This training aims to convey the fundamental principles of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), also known as Integrated Logistics/Product/Lifecycle Support, through real project experiences and practical examples from daily life.

ILS focuses on designing a Support System compatible with the System/Product, contributing to the design of supportable systems/products in the early phases, and ensuring their cost-effective and performance-compliant use throughout the lifecycle.

Through ILS analyses:

  • A Support System is designed in line with the defined ILS objectives
  • Design inputs are provided to optimize Life Cycle Cost
  • ILS Plans/Sub-plans are prepared to manage the lifecycle effectively
  • ILS metrics are calculated/verified
  • Operational availability is increased
  • Life Cycle Cost is optimized
  • Warranty and Logistics Support costs can be calculated

The training covers definitions and standards of ILS, lifecycle phases and related ILS activities, ILS elements, ILS plans, and ILS analyses. You will gain the opportunity to learn the basic principles of ILS analyses in accordance with standards and contractual requirements.

The training materials have been specially prepared by the instructor for this course, based on their expertise and referencing ILS-related standards from various countries and organizations (ASD, DEF-STAN, JSP, MIL-STD, NATO, SAE) as well as widely recognized books.
