1. Purpose of the Training:
This training aims to convey the core principles of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) through real-world project experience and practical daily examples.
ILS focuses on designing a Support System that is compatible with the System/Product, contributing to the design at early stages to ensure that systems/products can be supported and used cost-effectively and efficiently throughout their lifecycle. Due to its wide scope, ILS is divided into sub-disciplines, known as ILS Elements.
With the help of ILS Elements:
- Activities required in each sub-discipline to achieve ILS objectives are detailed
- Tasks to be carried out in different project phases are defined
- Plans for ILS elements required to manage the lifecycle effectively are prepared
- The scope of necessary ILS analyses is defined and executed
The training begins with brief definitions and standards of ILS, an introduction to lifecycle phases and ILS activities in each phase, followed by a detailed explanation of each ILS element. This course offers participants the opportunity to learn the specifics of the activities to be conducted under each ILS element in compliance with standards and contractual requirements.
All training materials have been specifically prepared by the instructor for this course, drawing from personal expertise and various international ILS-related standards (ASD, DEF-STAN, JSP, MIL-STD, NATO, SAE) as well as widely accepted reference books.
