1. Purpose of the Training:
This training aims to convey the fundamental principles of Logistics Support Analysis (LSA / Product Support Analysis – PSA) and LSA Records (LSAR) through real project experience and practical examples from daily life.
The purpose of LSA is to scientifically identify, optimize, and develop cost-effective support solutions for all potential logistics support needs throughout the life cycle of a system or product. The results of the comprehensive LSA analyses are stored in a shared database known as LSAR, enabling quick and accurate access to essential logistics support data throughout the system/product’s life. These data also form the content basis for technical and training documentation.
Through LSA;
- Logistics support requirements are identified
- Targeted ILS objectives can be achieved
- Operational Availability increases
- Lifecycle Costs are optimized
- A support structure aligned with standards is established
- Maintenance and logistics strategies are defined
- A data-rich LSAR database supporting the system or product lifecycle is created
- Technical and training documentation content is generated
The training covers: definitions and standards of LSA/LSAR, LSA tasks and flowcharts, LSAR table structures, Data Element Definitions (DEDs), and reporting formats. It particularly focuses on the most commonly requested LSA deliverables in Turkey, including Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA). This course provides participants with the opportunity to learn the core principles of LSA analysis in accordance with standards and contractual requirements.
All training materials have been specially prepared by the instructor for this course, referencing personal expertise as well as relevant international ILS standards (ASD, DEF-STAN, JSP, MIL-STD, NATO, SAE) and widely accepted literature.
