1. Purpose of the Training:
Reconnaissance units provide reconnaissance and security for the units they are established with, assigned to, or placed under command. As a force-saving unit, they conduct assault, defense, and delaying operations. Reconnaissance units are highly suitable for screening, protection, masking, rear area security operations, and limited-target probing attacks. They are specifically organized to perform reconnaissance, observation, and security duties, as well as to conduct assault, defense, and withdrawal maneuvers.
Combat area observation includes the continuous surveillance, according to established methods and rules, of selected locations such as road junctions, bridges, aircraft landing zones, or special facilities, as well as roads and fixed positions. Factors affecting observation include visibility, terrain, natural and artificial concealment, enemy air defense capabilities, and the types of observation equipment used.
The unit assigned to observation conducts surveillance within the designated observation area following prescribed methods and rules to provide useful and reliable intelligence to the commander by investigating, locating, identifying, and reporting military-relevant information.
By the end of this training, you will be able to better develop the operational and usage concepts of the systems you design and manufacture, enabling you to produce systems that fully meet customer requirements.
Training materials have been specially prepared by the instructor, based on their expertise and referencing our national and NATO standards.
